The Love Community Center (LCC) has become the heart of Rush County.

Even before the first dollars were secured in late 2020 to build it, we knew it would happen. We’re just like that around here.

But we realized that it would take all of us to support it for generations to come. It needed its own fund.

Enter Wilma Jo Kile, long-time RCCF supporter and Rush County community leader. In the fall of 2020 she started the Ebert H. and Bessie M. Schroeder Fund in memory of her parents and to support a community center. “I can think of nothing else that would provide the value-added amenities that a multipurpose community center would provide to the residents of Rush County,” she shared.
In 2024 her daughter and son-in-law added a seven-figure gift and their names to the completed building – the Love Community Center Presented by Jay and Christie (Kile) Love.

Fast-forward to today. The LCC is the thriving hub we dreamed it would be. Let’s make sure it stays that way.
